Ivan Bortnik

Ivan Mikhailovich was born May 9, 1940 in Serpukhov. In 1963, he graduated from Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) majoring in Electrical Engineering. From 1962 to 1966, he worked as an engineer of Moscow Order of Lenin of Energy Institute.

From 1966 to 1987, he was the head of the laboratory, head of the department, deputy director, first deputy director for scientific research in V.I.Lenin All-Union Institute for Energy, General Director of "V.I.Lenin AUIE" R&D company.

In 1987-1988, he was Deputy Chairman of the USSR State Committee on Science and Technology.

From 1991 to 1992, he was the first deputy chairman of the USSR State Committee on Science and Technology.

From 1992 to 1993, he was Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education and Technical Policy of the Russian Federation.

From 1994 to 2008, he held the position of General Director of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology.

From 2008 to the present day he is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology, Advisor to the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

In 2010 he was appointed Executive Director of the Association of Economic Cooperation of Constituent Entities of the Russian Federation "Association of Innovative Regions of Russia" (AIRR). Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor. The author of two books and over a hundred articles and papers published in technical journals and national and international conferences information package.

He was awarded:
