Three GenerationS finalists to receive RUB 6M from the Innovation Promotion Fund

The Innovation Promotion Fund, the grant partner of GenerationS, an accelerator of technology start-ups by RVC, will provide grants of RUB 2M to the three participants of Dual Technologies and Fintech tracks for research and development purposes.

The best projects according to the Fund’s expert jury:

IRWAY Night Vision System. This product helps the driver of a vehicle and provides him with a high-quality picture of the road with a range of up to 1.5 km in the dark or at poor visibility. Infrared radiation recorded by a night vision camera is generated in regular car headlights with the help of this patented technology. A signal from the camera is transmitted to the standard monitor installed on the dashboard of the car, or projected onto the windshield.

— "A geoinformation platform with a three-dimensional interface". The system is designed to solve a range of unmanned aviation challenges in a single programming interface – from preparing a flight task to analysing the results obtained and preparing formalized reports. The project improves by many times efficiency and effectiveness of unmanned systems as well as reduces the cost of personnel retraining.

— A grant will also be given to the Robin project team, which presented a speech biometric identification system. It includes a software package to perform voice verification running on OS LINUX. The project has been already integrated with the main telephone and recording systems - Avaya, Cisco and Genesis.

Acting as a partner, the Fund supports from year to year young innovative companies, financing products developed by them. The result of the hard work of start-ups is already visible now: the leaders of selected projects, having gained access to high quality educational services and grant financing, successfully present their project at international exhibitions and bring to the market an absolutely new product", says Sergey Polyakov, the General Director of the Fund.

The Start-GenS special competition, conducted within GenetrationS-2017, involved technology entrepreneurs who completed the program of corporate accelerators. The participants defended their projects before the expert jury of the Innovation Promotion Fund. The awarding of the winners took place on April 27, 2018, as part of the Superfinal of GenerationS.



GenerationS is the biggest start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, the federal platform for the development of corporate acceleration. It has been held by RVC since 2013. Over 20 Russian companies, interested in selecting and accelerating start-ups, become industrial partners to GenerationS on an annual basis. As a result of the multi-stage examination, the GenerationS participants receive ample opportunities for business development and investment promotion as well as access to resources and infrastructure of accelerator partners.


RVC JSC is a governmental fund of funds, the Institute of Development of the Russian Federation. The main objectives of RVC is to stimulate creation of Russia's own venture capital industry and execute functions of the Project Office of the National Technology Initiative (NTI). The authorized capital of RVC is more than 30 billion roubles. One hundred per cent of the RVC capital belongs to the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Agency for Management of State Property of the Russian Federation (Federal Property Management Agency). The total number of funds formed by RVC JSC has reached 26; their total size is 35.5 billion roubles. The share of RVC is 22.6 billion rubles. The number of innovative companies approved for investment by RVC funds has reached as many as 222. The total amount of monetary funds approved for investment is 18 billion roubles.


The purpose of the Fund is to support innovative businesses from their earliest stages to the setup of production and commercialisation of science-intensive products. Over its 24 years of work, the Fund has supported about 30,000 projects, including more than 17,000 projects of young scientists. With the Fund’s support, more than 6,000 small innovative enterprises were created. Regional representatives of the Fund work in more than 70 Russian regions.
