About

GenerationS — the largest start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, the federal platform for the development of corporate acceleration tools. It has been held by RVC since 2013. More than 20 Russian companies, in whose interests the selection and acceleration of startups is carried out, become every year Industrial partners of GenerationS. As a result of the multi-stage examination, the GenerationS participants receive ample opportunities for business development and investment promotion, and to get access to resources and infrastructure of accelerator partners.

Over the last three years, the project has accumulated its own ecosystem of corporations, experts, mentors, technology brokers and other market participants. Today, the partner network of GenerationS includes more than 250 government organizations and commercial companies.

In 2013, GenerationS has become the first Russian federal-scale accelerator. In 2014, the first field-specific accelerators in Russia were launched within the GenerationS framework. In 2015, RVC reformatted GenerationS to create a platform for the development of corporate acceleration. Applications for participation were submitted by more than two thousand start-ups.

2016 saw 4,237 applications from technological entrepreneurs submitted for participation in GenerationS. The geography of GenerationS projects spanned more than 250 cities and 30 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, France and USA.

About 20 Russian corporations, including QIWI, the Moscow Stock Exchange, VISA, Raiffeisenbank, NPO Saturn, JSCKrasstvetmet, BFK Severniy, EuroSibEnergo, ALROSA, GC EFKO, Russian Technical Society, Publicis Communications Russia and others were directly involved in the selection and acceleration of projects. Due to the specifics of the business tasks the partner corporations developed specialized programs in eight sectoral areas: AgroBioTech&Food, Сreative Industries, Finance&Banking Technologies, LifeScience, Mining&Metals, Power&Еnergy, SmartCity, TechNet. The accelerators took on 120 startup teams. While in the process of acceleration, quite a few of them signed cooperation agreements with GenerationS partner companies, launched pilot projects and managed to attract investments.

621 teams from more than 100 cities of Russia became participants of the GenerationS pre-accelerator. The finals of the GenerationS pre-accelerator had the top 50 startups show their projects as the best developed. The participants will continue collaborating with the mentors up to the finals, which will be held in June 2017 as part of the Startup Village in Skolkovo.

The final of Russia's and Eastern Europe's major startup accelerator GenerationS by RVC took place on April 25 at the Stadium Live concert hall (Moscow). Three winners shared the prize fund of 15 million rubles, and 19 teams received prizes worth over 100 million rubles from accelerator partners.
