Search of solutions related to data analytics
DataContest of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation

Goals:

  • To organize the work and conduct the first Contest of the Accounts Chamber throughout the country.
  • To increase interest in the field of data analytics among professional teams through webinars and communication with experts.
  • Attract the maximum number of employees from the Accounts Chamber to the Contest
  • Provide participation of at least 20 teams with project and/or research experience in data analytics.

Results:

  • 95+ applications from 28 cities of Russia are collected
  • 60+ participating teams are selected
  • 11 departments of the Accounts Chamber participated in forming the tasks of the Contest, working with teams and selecting solutions
  • 16 finalist teams presented their analytical solutions to the heads of the Accounts Chamber, including the Chairman, A.L. Kudrin
CORPORATE ACCELERATOR
Scouting and assessment of startups for RZD corporate accelerator

Goals:

  • Develop a methodology for working with innovative projects within the program;
  • Find innovative projects that meet the requirements of Russian Railways for participation in the corporate acceleration program aimed at rolling stock segment;
  • Carry out several stages of project selection (application assessment and pitch sessions);
  • Make market analysts for projects and define target segments;
  • Select 20 projects for participation in the corporate acceleration program.

Results:

  • More than 640 innovative projects have submitted their applications for participation;
  • 218 projects have passed a detailed examination of the accelerator;
  • More than 70 teams presented their innovative solutions to representatives of Russian Railways and Accelerator partners of Russian Railways;
  • 20 projects were selected for the program;
  • 7 projects entered the pilot stage to test their solutions on the company's infrastructure.
SCOUTING PROJECT
Global scouting, search for international startups for Beeline

Goals:

  • To find at least 25 technological solutions in the field of personal security of Beeline customers (B2C segment);
  • Analyze foreign startups in terms of technology uniqueness, competitive advantages, financial performance and team;
  • Conduct initial communication with the startups to determine the type of commercial partnership with Beeline and connect with the team for further collaboration.

Results:

  • А pipeline of 58 profiled startups whose solutions were presented to Beeline;
  • Over 20 countries covered during the scouting, including USA, Israel, UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, India and etc.
  • 25 focus projects were selected, ready for further cooperation with Beeline.
SCOUTING PROJECT
Lenta global scouting of international startups

Goals:

  • Search for mature international projects with solutions for marketing, operations, HR, logistics and supply chains.

Results:

  • Found a total of 256 startups offering retail industry solutions in marketing, operations, HR, logistics and supply chain, in target geography (international startups, primarily in the US, Europe, Israel, China and South Korea)
  • Conducted an online webinar for international startups with Lenta representatives
  • Conducted an online pitch session for Israeli startups
  • Top-15 startups were selected to participate in the final pitch session
  • 7 startup projects have been selected to participate in the accelerator and launch joint pilot projects in 2021
SCOUTING PROJECT
Scouting and evaluation of technological projects within the TechLab by PepsiCo accelerator

Goals:

  • Search for projects in the field of personalization and big data for further implementation in the company's business processes.

Results:

  • Found a total of 98 projects corresponding to program streams and selection criteria in Big Data
  • Conducted a #GenSTalks event: a pitch session of relevant startups
  • Conducted a final pitch-selection of 20 projects (Demo Day)
  • 8 start-up projects have been selected to participate in the accelerator and launch joint pilot projects

  • Collected a funnel of 30+ targeted projects, and 50+ potentially interesting ones
  • More than 5 companies have been selected for further cooperation
  • Prepared an effectiveness analysis of the scouting channels for a specific technology

Goals:

  • Conduct an intensive innovation in the Singapore office of MSB Bank Opening
  • Get new insights into FINTECH trends
  • Explore different approaches to working with innovations at the Bank, including approaches to building acceleration programs

  • 11 meetings and workshops were held with organizations like DBS Asia X, The Open Vault OCBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Plug and Play, Techstars, and others

Enel call for the technological projects

Goals:

  • Find and select technology projects in the field of energy and sustainable development at the stage of "prototype" or finished product
  • Choose the best projects for presentation of the solution to the top management of Enel Group and possible further cooperation

Results:

  • 185 startups have applied for participation in the selection
  • 65 cities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Finland, USA, Armenia, Singapore, Germany, Denmark and others covered
  • 151 project passed the GenerationS external expertise
  • 5 projects presented their technological solutions to representatives of Enel Group business lines during a face-to-face pitch session in Rome

Call for innovative projects in collaboration with Ferring Pharmaceuticals

Goals:

  • Explore Russian and CIS biotech market to assess quantity and quality of research and find promising products and solutions with scientific and commercial potential
  • Provide support for most promising projects in reproductive health and fertility, accelerate their development

Results:

  • More than 70 applications from Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan and India assessed
  • 8 most promising teams shortlisted for final selection by experts
  • Recognized specialists in the field of reproductive medicine, prominent representatives of science and business took part in the final evaluation
  • Winning team received 10,000 euros for the development of its technology (unique media for ovarian tissue vitrification)

Michelin

Goals:

  • Find and implement new products in Michelin businesses that will improve the lives of truckers on the road

Results:

  • 190 project teams from 54 cities in Russia, CIS, Estonia, India and USA took part in the competition
  • 10 projects were shortlisted for Selection day before acceleration program
  • 2 projects underwent an intensive three-week training and were able to adapt their products to Michelin’s needs
  • 1 project launched paid pilot with Michelin

#GENSGlobal for VTB in Israel and Singapore, 2018

Goals:

  • Transfer knowledge and experience to program participants, which allows the Bank to more effectively develop its work with startups
  • Prepare the Bank to work with startups within the GenerationS acceleration program framework

Results:

  • Visits were made to various companies, organizations and technoparks that make up the innovation systems of Israel and Singapore. More than 10 meetings were held in each location.

  • High involvement by the Bank's employees in innovative processes – 12 projects were selected within the acceleration program framework for launching pilots

Search and integration of technology solutions at the Krastsvetmet R&D Park.

Goals:

  • Find technological projects for further development based on the R&D Park.

Results:

  • in March 2016, the R&D Park of JSC Krastsvetmet was created with support from GenerationS Accelerator;
  • 2 startups, selected by the company according to the GenerationS-2016 results, have become residents of the R&D Park.
