Tech in Media Announces a Special Category for GenerationS Technology Projects

Tech in Media’14, the fourth All-Russian Innovative Journalism Competition, has announced a special category for coverage of the ongoing nationwide GenerationS accelerator contest. Applications will be accepted from writers of stories in nationwide, regional and online media, as well as the authors of TV and radio news items. The winner will receive the award in early November, an overview tour of one of the world’s prime innovation centers.

Applications for this GenerationS category will be accepted through the end of business on October 26, and the results will be announced at a press conference on Tech in Media’14 results in early November. This should give participants plenty of time to submit to the competition their stories written while GenerationS sector tracks were still ongoing, during the coaching sessions, as well as about the GenerationS final — an investment session to be held this October at the Open Innovation forum.

Stories written about the progress of the entire GenerationS contest or its individual tracks (Industrial, BioTechMed, CleanTech, and IT) are eligible to enter the competition.

Upon evaluation, one winner will be identified in the GenerationS media coverage category, who will have an opportunity to join an educational tour of one of the world’s prime innovation hubs:

  • Singapore — a tour for biotech and medical startups (November)
  • Paris — as part of an education program for IT startups at NUMA, a leading-edge innovation center (December)
  • Republic of Korea — as part of an educational program for industrial projects (December).

Applications can be submitted by email at tm2014@festivalnauki.ru showing the word GenerationS in the subject line.
