Skolkovo will host the Web Ready investment forum on October 8, 2014, the final event in the GenerationS IT Track acceleration program and the final of the largest contest for online and mobile technology projects in Russia and Eastern Europe. The Skolkovo Foundation will be a GenerationS Web Ready General Partner for a second year in a row. The Hypercube will once again host the IT Track final, providing media coverage and helping to hold the event.
IT Track Executive Director Igor Bogachev will join the expert panel of the GenerationS Web Ready contest, while Skolkovo Foundation’s Chief Investment Officer Eduard Kanalosh will participate in the VC Corner investment session and discussion of Startup Lifehack on the main stage.
Besides, the Skolkovo Foundation is establishing a special category within GenerationS Web Ready for projects that fall within the key strategic areas of the IT Track: search and recognition systems, secure IT, development and testing tools, cloud computing, communication and navigation technologies, data processing, storage and analysis, man-machine interfaces, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The winner in this special category will be chosen from among Web Ready finalists at the October 8 forum to receive a RUB 100,000 cash prize, as well as RUB 5 million in a deferred conditional grant the winning project team will receive upon becoming a resident at the Skolkovo Foundation. The runner-up in the category will also become eligible to apply for a deferred grant.

More than 700 members of the IT and investment communities will be guests and participants in the GenerationS Web Ready investment forum. VC Corner, a site for meetings between startups and investors, will operate during the forum, there will be a mentoring session, a trade show and project pitches, as well as the Startup Lifehack discussion session that will bring together top investors and winners in the Growth Category, as well as other events. Web Ready winners will become eligible to attend an API Moscow coaching session at Krasny Oktyabr (Red October) from October 10 through 13 with serial entrepreneurs, and then will join a combined final for all four GenerationS Tracks to present their projects to investors at the Open Innovation Forum on October 15, 2014. Web Ready offers RUB 1.5 million in prize money.
