The Industrial Track of the GenerationS nationwide accelerator contest continues its pre-accelerator course. An Educational Weekend will run from August 15 through 17 in St. Petersburg, offering participants training sessions dealing with the most pressing issues most technology startup entrepreneurs face; selected participants in the Track will also present their project to a panel of experts during a pitch session.
August 15, Day One of the weekend of intensive training, will focus on innovation management: participants will formulate their own strategy, develop a business plan, learn to analyze the scope of issues relevant to their project, study in detail several business models, discuss the issues of commercialization and intellectual property.
August 16 – participants will be introduced to financial aspects of management: they will learn how to build a financial model and estimate the market value and valuation of a company. Also on Saturday, participants will have a chance to attend a training session on the art of public speaking and presentation to an investor audience. Those who will join the session will practice with a mentor to refine their skill of projecting a positive image, their presentation structuring skills, and the ability to capture the investor’s attention and encourage their interest in just four minutes, all essential skills for a pitch session.
August 17 will be the long-anticipated Demo Day — an pitch session, during which selected participants in the Track will present their project to a panel of experts. The presentations will serve to identify the project’s 40 regional finalists who will participate in an acceleration program offered by Venture Capital, an organizer of the Industrial Track.
The events will be taking place at Ingria Business Incubator at Building 2, 70 Obukhovskaya Oborona Avenue, St. Petersburg.
