Application Deadline Extended Until July 20
Organizers of the BioTechMed Track, part of the nationwide GenerationS accelerator contest for technology startups have extended the application deadline until July 20. Projects dealing with biotech, healthcare and pharmaceuticals are in for a very rigorous selection process: only 40 teams will get the chance to participate in the high-intensity acceleration program organized by the Tomsk State University (TSU) as part of the GenerationS contest.
“We receive applications for the BioTechMed Track not only from Russia, but also from FSU countries,” says Olga Babkina, Deputy Vice-President for Science and Research of the TSU, and Executive Director of the Tomsk Consortium of Research and Education and Scientific Organizations. “We have conducted more than 20 meetings in various regions in just one month, with people active in the innovation infrastructure, startup entrepreneurs, businesspeople, as well as directing the attention of investors active in this sector to our contest. As the level of participant activity has increased, while the inflow of good projects does not appear to dry up yet, we have decided to give more teams a chance to show themselves.”
The BioTechMed acceleration program will include lectures and master classes on business model development, refinement of project R&D, legal aspects, raising capital, business planning, marketing, PR and other topics essential for successful development of startups.
