The Russian office of the world’s largests clean technology project accelerator Cleantech Open Russia is inviting mentors to join the CleanTech Track of the GenerationS contest acceleration program. Mentors will have a chance to share their experience of many years with entrepreneurs just starting up, help projects to raise international investments and access global markets.
The Cleantech Track acceleration program will kick off on June 3, lasting through the end of November. It is implemented as part of the nationwide GenerationS acceleration contest for technology startups organized by the Russian Venture Company (RVC) and the Moscow Center for Innovative Development (CID) and sponsored by the Moscow City Hall. More than 800 companies implementing projects dealing with energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and sustainable use of natural resources have completed CleanTech Open international acceleration programs, and half of them have raised more than US$ 800 million in investments США. Over 2,000 experts in the CleanTech Cleantech Open network invest their time and professional skills and experience to help companies develop and grow within the acceleration program.
Teams and companies which will undertake to assume mentors’ duties within the program for free will receive more than an opportunity to share their accumulated experience with beginner entrepreneurs. This is also a chance to find an application for their talents, expand their professional networks in Russia and overseas, work side-by-side with Western experts and make a real contribution to development of the Russian cleantech community. After the acceleration program is complete, mentors will be able to offer their commercial services to the projects, such as investment, management, or consulting services.
Program mentors will pick the best projects from those presented by project authors to Russian and international community at the Startup Village event in Skolkovo on June 2–-3. Acceleration program finalists will enter the GenerationS contest finals, to be held at the International Open Innovation Forum in Moscow in October, where they will present their projects to investors.
