Beginner entrepreneurs continue announcing their desire to join the GenerationS accelerator contest for technology startups. As many as 289 applications have been received to date.
Moscow and St. Petersburg are still in the lead by the number of applications: 83 and 33, respectively. The Krasnoyarsky Krai, a vast Siberian region, is now third with 17 contestants. Tatarstan with 14 applciations and the Sverdlovsk Region with 13 round out the top five of applicants’ home regions. Other Russian, as well as Kazakhstani, Belarusian and Ukrainian, regions are also sending a growing number of applications to this year’s GenerationS contest.
