On Monday, October 12th, in Moscow GenerationS 2015 SmartCity corporate seed accelerator will be launched. The accelerator program will feature twenty fast growing high tech companies which develop smart city technologies and various life technologies.
The accelerator program will take place in Moscow and Berlin within the framework of Seed Forum; five best projects will be selected in the smart city category, and these projects will be able to showcase their developments during the November super-finals of GenerationS.
During the Moscow leg of the program, from October 12th until October 25th, the projects will have a chance to fine-tune their technological solutions in close collaboration with SmartCity track’s corporate partner – ROO Russian Technical Society (R&D partner MORTON Group). The program also provides for working with the largest international corporations including Microsoft, Cisco, Samsung, IBM, SAP, Danfoss, Panasonic, and others. Together with experts and representatives of corporations the program participants will be able to work out their investment prospectuses, presentations, and investor offers. Also, the projects will visit prospective production sites and infrastructure sites for the cities of the future.
The ‘international’ part of the program will take place from October 26th until October 30th in Berlin; it will enable young entrepreneurs to learn about international practices of smart cities. They will meet representatives of the German Committee for Electronics Appliances and Information Technologies (DKE), the organization engaged in the development and implementation of new standards called SmartCity, as well as projects for the smart city by Lufthansa Innovation Hub @ Factoty Berlin, Techstars, and the infrastructure of the leading global ecosystem by Adlershof.
The seed corporate accelerator program SmartCity GenerationS 2015 was developed by the track operator – LOGA Group. Participants of the accelerator program will be aided by international-level experts who succeeded in growing their own businesses and various other international projects. Also, based on the results of the program the expert jury will select ten perspective startups which will showcase their projects at the international investment forum Seed Forum in Moscow, at the site of Moscow Stock Exchange. The event will feature some 70 investors, market players, and expert community. The projects will receive prizes from partners, while the best participant will get a ticket to the world congress Smart City Expo which will take place in Barcelona on November 16-19.
