GenerationS at the Open Innovations Forum 2015

More than thirty participating projects of GenerationS-2015 and our graduates of previous years will be represented at the forum and technology show Open Innovations-2015.

Five of our projects, which have undergone a strict selection process, will have their presentations at the open stage sessions of the Forum, in other words, as a part of the daily start-up show. After the startup show, the panel and the experts will choose the best startup of Open innovations-2015. Every day, five projects will present their pitches at the start-up show. BioMicroGeli, the finalist of 2013 and 2014 the project, will talk about their designs at the first day of Open Innovations, dedicated to performance. The startup show of the second day will feature LighTech, a project that has participated in the SmartCity-2015 corporate accelerator (a flexible continuous linear light source based on electroluminescent material). The third day, dedicated to the health industry, feature a project by one of the teams of Robotics corporate accelerator of GenerationS-2015, Kleiber Bionic prosthetic hand. On the day dedicated to education, another participant of Robotics track, will show its Neurotechnology kit for young researchers, and on the day of the Gaming Industry, the audience will see VRS, the Virtual Reality Headpiece, also a member of Robotics corporate accelerator of this year.

About 20 other projects which participated in GenerationS, also selected by the experts, will be presented in the startup zone at the technology show. Among them is chassis BiPOD, the winner of Robotics corporate track; Samokat.net project, which made an impressive presentation at Smartcity track; Idea Cardberry, superfinalist of Telecom track, and many others. Five GenerationS projects will be presented at the exhibit of RVC, the organizer of GenerationS and co-organizer of Open Innovations forum. These include the measurement/control and exploration/diagnostics tools by TEHKNOAS-SC LLC, MyGenetics, a system of genetic passport drafting, and some others. The visitors to the exhibit will have an opportunity to try in action all the projects represented there.

The presenters, speakers at various events of the Forum and Technology Show, members of the startup jury of the show, include many representatives of the large team of GenerationS: Gulnara Bikkulova, Member of RVC Board of and ideologist of GenerationS, Alexander Potapov, Deputy CEO of RVC; other RVC representatives: Alexei Ivanov, Alexei Gusev, Ekaterina Petrova, experts of GenerationS operators: Zamir Shukhov (GVA LaunchGurus), Oleg Malsagov (BiotechMed track expert), Sergey Mitrofanov (Pulsar Venture Capital), Eugene Pluzhnik (MTI), a representative of a corporate partner Dmitry Ivanov (Saturn Research and Manufacturing Company), and many others.

The founder of one of the projects of GenerationS on Open Innovations, Alexei Ogienko (the project of VRS, Virtual Reality Headpiece) commented on the project’s upcoming participation in the Forum as follows: "At GenerationS we obtained invaluable knowledge by learning from experts in many areas. We hope that the detailed and accurate information we have received will help us avoid mistakes in the development of the project. GenerationS exceeded all our expectations, and, as a result, we have changed our approach to the business, its structure, and the development strategy. Otherwise, we could have spent several years before we learnt how to develop a business properly! Our participation in Open Innovations is one more result that we have already achieved through our work in GenerationS. Open Innovations is a great opportunity to showcase your product to the interested guests of the forum and businesses, to find partners for cooperation.

To recall, the focus of this year's Forum is on industrial automation and robotics, new materials and the development of 3D-printing, the achievements of modern engineering, digital technology, artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, the technology of smart cities, biotechnology, gamification, digital art and other current trends in technological developments.

More than 200 exhibitors show their projects in the Technology Show (one tenth of them are ours!). Seven theme-based sections will be organized: Robotics, Digital Technology, Transport and Construction, Biotechnology and Medicine, Gaming Technology, Energy and Materials, Industrial Technologies.

The organizers expect more than 30 000 visitors, who will have an opportunity to test the prototypes presented, discuss their characteristics with the developers, share their experiences and ideas. It is, therefore, even more important that the participants and the graduates of GenerationS will present their designs at Open Innovations.
