On October 31, GenerationS was represented at the startup show by Gulnara Bikkulova, a jury member, and Bitronics Lab, which started competing for the title of the best project.
Bitronics Lab is a construction kit for studying and using human biosignals; it was designed for young neurotechnologists.
Vladimir Sinelnikov (Edutainme), an expert on educational startups, made a speech before the pitches in which he set the bar high, saying that today the EdSurge market is constantly growing, with the world market currently worth about USD 52bn and the Russian market about RUR 10 bn. Parents are willing to pay, it is just necessary to provide them with high-quality educational services.
The Pitch of the finalist of Robotics GenerationS-2015 track caused a lively discussion among the guests of Business Contacts Exchange, where the openstage sessions of startups are held. “How is it related to education?” the audience asked. The representatives of Bitronics Lab team answered that by 2030 the development of neurotechnology market would have reached a level that would require thousands of skilled professionals who are to be trained from a young age, making the technology of biometrics, biosignals and other areas available to them. This is why such kit has to be introduced today.
"How long does it take to create a real methodology for an educational program?" the audience asked. “It does not take long”, the pitchers answered. “We already have a preliminary draft of the program, it just has to be developed further.” Today, the startup area of Open Innovations also featured GenerationS projects: DIVO Nebulizer (tracheobronchial nebulizer with a breathing pipe, Biotech zone), SmikTekh (the technology of self-cleaning coating application, Robotics zone) and Edugame Creator (a platform for cross-platform interactive content creation without the involvement of programmers, Industrial zone).
