The second session in person of Power&Energy GenerationS corporate accelerator starts

The session is held in Moscow from 5 to 13 November.

Corporate accelerators of GenerationS are bringing their programs to the conclusion, selecting the finalists. On Thursday, the second session in person starts at Power&Energy accelerator, which will be last to determine its winners. The session is held in Moscow from 5 to 13 November. The program, organized by the operators of the track, Next Capital Center for Corporate Innovation and Directors Club for Science and Innovation, will be attended by 17 young companies developing the technologies for modern power generation.

In the second session in person, the participants of the full-time accelerator will be able, with the support of specialized experts, to finalize the proposal for corporate customers and investors and to prepare for the defense of their projects at a public pitch session on November 13.

The program of the session includes workshops on business valuation, raising finance and structuring of investment transactions, review of legislation in the energy sector, a master class on project launch in the real sector, the preparation of the product and the commercial offer for corporate customers, and other specialized training courses. The representatives of successful technology companies from among the graduates of previous years GenerationS will share their experience with the participants of the accelerator. Other participants of the session may include experts from Branan Ventures, VEGAS LEX, SERCONS, etc. Investment day will be organized in the partnership with Venture Club to give the participants of the accelerator to communicate with investors and present their projects again as a result of their completion within the accelerator.

The second session in person will close with a presentation of projects before the extended panel of investors, corporate clients and industry experts. At the end of the pitch session, five projects will be selected, which will represent the Power&Energy track at the final, federal level GenerationS accelerator.

To recall, the first Power&Energy session in person was held in Moscow in late August and early September. The highlight of the program was the corporate days of Russian energy companies. This format was developed by Next Capital experts in order to ensure close and productive communication between start-ups and potential customers who could order the innovations. During the corporate days, specialists from energy companies spoke about the priorities in the field of technological development, explained how the procurement procedures work and what are the opportunities for interaction between young companies with large energy business.

The participants of the accelerator visited the accelerator facilities, talked to the engineers and technicians, evaluated the possibility of integration of their technological solutions in the production cycle and value chains of corporations. The companies which held corporate days for the participants of the accelerator were T Plus PJSC, RusHydroGC, PJSC RAO Energy Systems of the East, Tavrida GC, MOESK, Energy without borders Fund. The first in-person module was aimed at making sure that start-ups collect feedback from representatives of corporations, identify any bottlenecks in their projects and realize how they can be modified to the needs of corporate customers.

From September to November, the participants of the acceleration program did an intensive online session, which consisted of nine webinars on key business topics and individual work with mentors. Based on the outcomes of the online session, the participants of accelerator have elaborated their business models. With the support of graduate students of Moscow State University Graduate School of Business, the participants of the accelerator explored the opportunities of entering international markets. Next Capital Team got EON, the international corporation, to participate in the accelerator. As a part of the online session, the experts of the company presented EON, the development program, talked to the members of the accelerator and gave them feedback.
