GenerationS Finalist Chosen for Startup European Contest

EDF Pulse Award is a European contest of technological startup projects organised by — Électricité de France. In 2016 the best startups will be nominated in three areas: smart cities, medicine of the future and low-carbon energy. The contest welcomes small (up to 30 personnel members) companies that have an innovation prototype or a model, are not a part of a large holding and ready to start up in 2016. Among others, there are 4 Russian projects, including Samocat Sharing System.

Before late February the jury will select 12-15 contest nominees (first TOP-100, then TOP-30). In March the selected nominees will go through coaching and expertise. Only six of these (2 in each nomination) will reach the EDF Pulse Award-2016 final. The experts will judge the projects on the following lines: social significance of the project, the level of simplicity for the public, originality and unique character of the innovation, economic viability of the project, the quality of the crew and the compliance of the project with the interests and sphere of activities of EDF company.

The winners will be carrying out a powerful communication campaign, and in May there will be an open vote which will choose the best project. The award ceremony will take place in late June in France. The first prize is 100 000 euros plus the support of the project by the company that organised the contest.
