Winner of Telecom Idea Track Presented Project in Las-Vegas

Finalist of ‪GenerationS-2015, winner of Telecom Idea Track Cardberry project took part in CES-2016 International Exhibition in Las-Vegas.

This participation resulted in more than 800 pre-orders, 30 contracts with prospective distributors, 30 interviews with foreign mass media and the decision to go crowdfunding.

CES (Consumer Electronic News) is the biggest in the USA and a world-leading exhibition of consumer electronics. As a rule, major world brands set their premiers close to January so that they could present their fare at this annual event. Marina Druhzenets, Cardberry Development Manager, had this to tell us about the results: "We didn’t expect this kind of interest in our product. The stream of visitors never ended, the least number four people looking at the stand. I feel as if we came to the stand at 10 January 6 and kept working away with the visitors non-stop."

There have been a lot of visitors with Coin cards, the American analog of Cardberry, pointed out Druhzenets: "Almost one in four visitors came with that card. And all of them complained that Coin was no good. We knew that: we had a version technologically identical to Coin back a year ago but we didn’t dare to go to the market because it didn’t produce a hundred percent result. And we explained to the people why their Coin was not working". As a result, some 600 people pre-ordered Cardberry while visiting the stand and about 200 made a pre-order online while the exhibition was going on. Before exhibiting the project, the contestants were not sure that they were prepared to go crowdfunding globally. "Now we are absolutely sure about it. The customers display interest, and very much so. A price of 100 dollars for the American market is quite reasonable, at the exhibition people produced 100 dollar bills and said: “We’ll buy it now from you”. As a result, we are planning to go crowdfunding some time in April. For us it is the simplest and smoothest way to raise money for production".

Also Marina Druzhenets told us that at the exhibition the team received a number of investment offers but her colleagues have never been willing to share their share in the company. The project received sort of 30 offers from the interested distributors from around the world – China, Japan, Europe, the USA, Latin America. More than 30 publishers showed interest in the Cardberry case.
