On Saturday January 30 the Robocenter at VDNKh staged Battle of Robots performance. The show attracted a few hundreds of the audience and another few thousands watched the performance online.
At Moscow stage the teams were competing for a prize of 100 thousand roubles and for a chance to compete at the final of the Battle with the Grand Prix of 5 million roubles.
The battles featured 6 GenerationS graduate contestants: one of them ,the favourite was Matanga team from Perm, Igor Ryadchikov from Krasnodar, finalist of Robotics GenerationS-2015 track (AnyWalker project), member of Kubanoid team and 4 our teams from Ryazan: Technotron, Kolovrat, Atom and Zinger. Among the members of the jury was Gyulnara Bikkulova, PBK Executive Member and GenerationS Supervising Director.
The semi-final saw Kubanoid, Atom, Kolovrat and TKOP, and the final battle happened between the two Ryazan robots: Atom and Kolovrat. The jury came up with a unanimous verdict: Kolovrat won. The Ryazan team taking part in the GenerationS Battle includes Artem Teterin, captain, designer, mechanic and operator and his assistant Daria Borisova.
Gyulnara Bikkulova: "Right away, I would like to say a few “thanks”. To the audience for the rescue of the winning team. To the developers, even to those who haven’t won, for the spectacular show, emotions and for the important matter of spreading science. robotics among other things, that each of you has been doing. You can still reach the superfinal and contend for a huge prize of 5 million roubles. And of course thank you to Moscow Institute of Technology for staging a brilliant science show and for working not only with Robotics GenerationS track teams but also with all young people who are into robotics".
