The Samocat Sharing System project becomes one of the best startups of the international accelerator VINCI Startup tour
Samocat Sharing System Company, one of the GenerationS-2015 winners, made the top 10 projects of the international accelerator VINCI Startup Tour which is held by VINCI – one of the largest construction companies in Europe
The organizer’s field of activity comprises construction of stations, airports, highways and stadiums that is why attention within the accelerator was paid primarily to projects capable of changing these facilities, making it more up-to-date, comfortable and sophisticated.
The founder of Samocat Sharing System Vasiliy Bykov says: "We were selected among more than 500 companies and were given a chance to perform in Strasbourg in front of a jury consisting of VINCI RnD department and executives of several companies in charge of various directions. We presented a case for airports where our automatic machines with scooters installed in distant areas significantly “mitigate” their inconvenient location by helping to get to exit from the airport and vice versa – from entrance to terminal not in 15-30 minutes on foot but in 5 minutes using scooter. Drivers get an opportunity to save at least 100 USD by choosing cheap parking places. Another key benefit of our system is full integration with the parking system: in fact, if you received a parking ticket at entrance you may use the same ticket to take a scooter and get to the airport. And pay for services at exit”.
The winner of the accelerator will be chosen among 10 best teams on March 4 and will be given 40 thousand euros and – the most important thing – an opportunity to implement a pilot project.
