RVC expands its regional consulting practice sessions

Regional practical consulting sessions (RPCS) – an RVC program aimed at creating an innovation ecosystem in the regions and the development of regional entrepreneurship in the area of high technologies. Free educational intensive programs allow regional start-ups to obtain the necessary information for the development and further commercialization of their projects; they also allow investors to identify the most promising ideas for investments.

The geography of regional meetings in 2016 includes twenty regions with a developing innovative ecosystem. This year, the program includes seven new Russian regions, where RPCS will be held for the first time: Sochi, Lipetsk, Nalchik, Sevastopol, Orenburg, Kursk, Yoshkar-Ola, as well as the capital of Tajikistan - Dushanbe. Also, this year, RPCS will be held in Rostov-on-Don, Surgut, Barnaul, Omsk, Cheboksary, Grozny, Novokuznetsk, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Tambov, Saransk, and Ulan-Ude. It is assumed that the free educational intensive programs will be attended by about 1,500 people; meanwhile, more than 600 regional technology projects will receive expert advice.

In 2016, RPCS program acquires a modular format: the regional sessions program will be divided into three thematic areas. Educational intensive programs for startups consist of three modules. The first module includes lectures on the basics of venture financing and entrepreneurship, individual training of projects for presenting to investors. The second module is formed in accordance with the request of the region and may include workshops, networking and advice, as well as individual training projects. The third module is held for representatives of venture funds, the business angels community and regional innovation centers and will include, in particular, advice to investors in accordance with the requested area of topics. In addition, the program consulting sessions includes training to participate in technological projects Generations-2016 – the largest startup accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, which has been held by RVC since 2013. RPCS have been working for eight years, and since the beginning of the program, more than 160 regional sessions of practical consulting were conducted, the skills and knowledge of which were received by about 11,000 people in 2008.

Since 2015, RVC has been defined as a project office for the implementation of NTI – the program of measures aimed at the formation of fundamentally new markets and the creation of conditions for global technological leadership of Russia by 2035.
