Winners of the FinTech-start-up competition held within the framework of Finopolis 2016 forum will receive business mentors from the largest Russian entrepreneurs

The Finolpolis 2016 organizational committee invited successful Russian investors and entrepreneurs as mentors (business-trainers) for the winners of the FinTech-start-up competition: co-founder and managing partner of the Almaz Capital investment fund Aleksandr Galitskiy, senior vice-president for digital business development of Sberbank of Russia PJSC Mikhail Erenburg and founder and chairman of the board of directors of Finam investment holding Viktor Remshu.

In the opinion of Finopolis 2016 organizers, participation of the large and successful entrepreneurs as mentors together with the grant support will allow the winners of the FinTech-start-up competition to avoid many mistakes in launching of their financial products on the financial market.

Mentoring practice is widely used in the Western countries to start new business. It combines consultancy support and practical implementation of the project under guidance of the experienced mentor. Mentoring, as a rule, is personal, i.e. one mentor maintains one project - it allows the achievement of maximal effect.

The Bank of Russia has announced FinTech start-ups contest in June. Russian start-ups implementing projects in the field of financial technologies that ensure development of electronic interaction on the national financial market can participate in it. Applications will be accepted till September 12; upon completion of this period, the committee will select 18 most promising market-oriented projects. They will be represented to the community of players on the financial market during Finopolis 2016 forum at FinTech-start-up alley, and in the form of pitch-sessions — to the respected jury.

Contest participants winning the first, second and third place will receive grants in the amount of 3 million roubles, 2 million roubles and 1 million roubles correspondingly.

Collection of applications and expertise is done by the largest start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe GenerationS, within which framework its organizer — RVC — together with the Bank of Russia for the first time launched a separate track — Finance&Banking Technologies. More information of terms and procedure of the competition is available on the website www.finopolis.ru; you can submit your application for participation there as well.
