SIBENCO has established a special nomination for GenerationS start-ups in the coal industry
Entrepreneurs will have a chance to attract investment and launch joint pilot projects with the corporation company.
Russia's largest coal company SIBENCO started cooperation with a start-up accelerator GenerationS, which is annually held in association with RVC Russian corporations.
SIBENCO has established a special nomination for the GenerationS-2016 participating teams. Candidates whose projects are in the field of new technologies of mining, enrichment, processing and transportation of coal may apply to participate in the nomination. The winners of the nomination will receive many opportunities of partnership with SIBENCO, including the possibility for carrying out pilot tests on the company's sites. Subsequently, the company may become an investor in projects, which have proven their investment attractiveness for SIBENCO.
The collection of applications for participation in the special nomination of SIBENCO will last until 1 February 2017. The winners of the nomination will be announced at the GenerationS super-final, which will take place in March 2017.

In 2016, GenerationS received more than 4,000 applications from 240 cities and 30 countries. The accelerator runs on eight corporate tracks: Mining&Metals, AgroBioTech&Food, SmartCity, Сreative Industries, LifeScience, TechNet, Power&Еnergy, Finance&Banking Technologies. The participants of GenerationS will be provided with a wide range of business opportunities: access to the resources of industrial partners for developing joint solutions, personal mentors, expert sessions from leading analysts, international internships, and preparation of projects for entering the market and serious help to attract investment. The GenerationS-2016 prize fund will amount to 15 million rubles. The total value of prizes from partners will exceed 100 million rubles.
The partners of GenerationS are represented by the largest Russian companies, who are leaders in their areas: Moscow Exchange, GC Morton and Russian Technical Company, Raiffeisenbank, National Fashion Chamber, QIWI, Visa, Northern Biopharmaceutical Cluster, Krastsvetmet JSC, GC EFKO, Sher Oston, Irkutsk Electric Grid company JSC, NPO Saturn PJSC, Gars Telecom. The corporate staff will be directly involved in the selection, examination and acceleration of start-ups participating in the GenerationS.
The development partner, Innovation Assistance Fund, will allocate grants to the best projects of GenerationS under the EGGHEAD and START programs. The Open University Skolkovo (OUS), Amedia Film Company, ALROSA, Rostelecom PJSC, VTB24, BCS, and SAP have also joined GenerationS-2016 as partners.
