GenerationS presents a new structure and format of work of the accelerator's Board of Trustees
The GenerationS start-up accelerator -the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe - organized by RVC updates the format of the Board of Trustees' work. In 2016, the Board members, including the well-known businesspersons, investors, managers, and scientists will take an active part in the development of acceleration programs and will act as mentors of the control teams of GenerationS industry tracks.
The GenerationS-2016 Board of Trustees is headed by Ivan Bortnik-Advisor to General Director, Member of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation for innovation promotion. The foundation for innovation promotion has been the development partner of GenerationS since 2014 and over these two years of cooperation, it has financed the projects of semi-finalists and finalists for more than 100 million rubles. In 2016, participants of the GenerationS acceleration programs can receive grants from the Foundation for 2 million rubles. The Preaccelerator's participants - for 500 thousand rubles.
The GenerationS-2106 Trustees also became: Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russian Federation Oleg Fomichev, Director General of COSMOS studio, President of Russian Television Academy Alexander Akopov, President and CEO of RUSNANO USA Dmitry Akhanov, Managing Partner of Almaz Capital Partners Alexander Galitsky, Chairman of the Board of the Centre of High Technologies KhimRar Aleksandr Ivashchenko, CSO Publicis Russia Dragorad Knezi, Founder of imi.vc Igor Matzanyuk, CEO of Abercade Nadezhda Orlova, Director of "Young Professionals" ASI Dmitry Peskov,Senior vice president of design and development of Acronis Software Stanislav Protasov, General Director of the Russian Science Foundation Alexander Khlunov, Member of the Board, Director of the Small Business Customer Service Department of VTB 24 Bank Nadia Cherkasova.Due to the resources of the Board of Trustees, participating start-ups will be able to receive additional assistance in attracting partners, investors and business angels, as well as to expand opportunities for interaction with the working groups of NTI. The Council Members will take part in the examination of projects and the selection of the winners of the accelerator, whose names will be announced in the GenerationS super-final in March 2017.
The functionality of the Board of Trustees also includes advice on the development strategy of GenerationS, assistance in the expansion of the partner network, the popularizations of the accelerator in the business environment and governmental authorities. GenerationS is Russia's largest accelerator of technology start-ups in Russia and the only platform for the development of tools of corporate acceleration. The project partner network includes more than 250 corporations, venture capital funds and governmental agencies. In 2016, GenerationS is held on eight corporate tracks: Mining&Metals, AgroBioTech&Food, SmartCity, Сreative Industries, LifeScience, TechNet, Power&Еnergy, Finance&Banking Technologies. More than four thousand teams are planning to participate in GenerationS 2016. The GenerationS-2016 prize fund will amount to 15 million rubles.
