Gars Telecom becomes a partner of the GenerationS start-up accelerator

The best teams will receive investment and infrastructure for the development of their project.

Telecommunications company Gars Telecom is launching a special nomination for start-ups "New Telecom for smart businesses" as part of the GenerationS accelerator - the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe, which is held by RVC annually in association with the leading Russian corporations.

Among the participating projects, GenerationS Gars Telecom will be seeking new telecom solutions for the b2b segment, some new cloud-based telecom products and services, software solutions for the optimisation of management in the b2b segment, converged telecom products and software modules for the creation of services on the SIP protocol. The Gars Telecom's interests also include the development of products for the promotion of digital media, self-service systems, neural networks and algorithms, innovations in the field of changes in the quality of services.

Applicants will be selected from among the projects that applied for GenerationS. The nomination winner will be selected in spring 2017 as part of GenerationS finals. Top telecom projects can receive investments from Gars Telecom, as well as the infrastructure for the development of a turnkey project - an office in Moscow, computing power, digital communications network both citywide and nationwide, and a pool of potential customers.

GenerationS was officially launched in July 2016 on eight corporate tracks: Mining&Metals, AgroBioTech&Food, SmartCity, Сreative Industries, LifeScience, TechNet, Power&Еnergy, Finance&Banking Technologies. As part of passing the accelerator, participants will receive a wide range of business opportunities: access to the resources of industrial partners for developing joint solutions, personal mentors, expert sessions from leading analysts, international internships, preparation of projects for entering the market and serious help to attract investment. The GenerationS-2016 prize fund will amount to 15 million rubles. The total value of prizes from partners will exceed 100 million rubles.

The partners of GenerationS are represented by the largest Russian companies, who are leaders in their areas: Moscow Exchange, GC Morton and Russian Technical Company, Raiffeisenbank, National Fashion Chamber, QIWI, Visa, Northern Biopharmaceutical Cluster, Krastsvetmet JSC, GC EFKO, Sher Oston, Irkutsk Electric Grid company JSC, NPO Saturn PJSC, Gars Telecom. The corporate staff will be directly involved in the selection, examination and acceleration of start-ups participating in the GenerationS.

The development partner, Innovation Assistance Fund, will allocate grants to the best projects of GenerationS under the EGGHEAD and START programs. Open University Skolkovo (OUS), production company Amedia, ALROSA, Rostelecom PJSC, VTB24, and BCS also joined GenerationS-2016 as partners.
