Foundation for the promotion of innovation is ready to finance breakthrough projects of GenerationS
As part of a partnership agreement with the GenerationS start-up accelerator from RVC, the Foundation for innovation promotion will provide its participants with the opportunity of acceleration of programs to receive grants of up to 2 million rubles; the Preaccelerator's participants – up to 500 thousand rubles. It is expected that over 180 GenerationS projects will compete for financial support.
The Foundation for the promotion of innovation has been the development partner of the GenerationS technology start-ups accelerator - the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe - since 2014 and over these two years of cooperation, it has financed the projects of semi-finalists and finalists for more than 100 million rubles.
In 2016, the Foundation is launching a special StartGenS competition under the federal program "Start", aimed at supporting innovative start-ups. The competition will allow the GenerationS participants to compete for a grant for R & D for 2 million rubles, bypassing the mandatory pre-selection phase. Only those GenerationS projects, which have completed corporate accelerator programs, may participate in the competition. Projects-applicants must submit an application to the electronic system of the Foundation: online.fasie.ru until 20 December 2016.
For projects of early stages, which will be trained within the GenerationS Preaccelerator, there is also a possibility of obtaining grant funding of scientific research. As part of a special competition UMNIKGenS (EGGHEAD), the best projects of the Preaccelerator will receive 500 thousand rubles from the Foundation for innovation promotion. To do so, they must apply at umnik.fasie.ru. The winners can become citizens of Russia from 18 to 30 years of age inclusive, not previously received any funding from the "EGGHEAD" program.

In 2016, the accelerator will take place in eight corporate tracks: Mining&Metals, AgroBioTech&Food, SmartCity, Сreative Industries, LifeScience, TechNet, Power&Еnergy, Finance&Banking Technologies. Industrial partners of GenerationS became Moscow Exchange, GC Morton and Russian Technical Company, QIWI, Visa, Biopharmaceutical Cluster Northern, Krastsvetmet JSC, GC EFKO, Sher Oston, Irkutsk Electric Grid Company JSC, SDPC Saturn PJSC.
The global partner of the GenerationS-2016 is Vilnius Tech Park (Lithuania), which will provide its assistance to the accelerator participants in bringing the projects to international markets. The founder of a special nomination for fintech start-ups has become Raiffeisenbank. As partners, GenerationS-2016 was joined by Open University Skolkovo (OUS), Amedia Production Company, ALROSA, Rostelecom PJSC, VTB 24, FG BCS. GenerationS Superfinal will be held in March 2017.
