Projects of Bitronics Lab («Young neuromodeller») and «BAS Educational Kit» developed by the project teams — graduates from the GenerationS accelerator held by RVC, became the two of five NTI projects approved on December 15, 2016 at the proceeding of the interdepartmental task force supported by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Economic Modernisation and Innovations of Russia.
Bitronics Lab («Young neuromodeller») and «BAS Educational Kit» were included in the roadmaps of the International Technology Initiative and will receive administration, infrastructure and financial government support. Besides, a year ago, Bitronics Lab’s project received investments from the Moscow Institute of Technology and Russian Investment Company «KSI Ventures». Based on such financing, a new company was founded 50% in which is owned by the project team and the remaining 50% are distributed in equal shares between MIT and KSI Ventures LLC.
Bitronics Lab’s project, approved within the framework of NTI for participation in the NeuroNet roadmap, is a prototyping laboratory in the field of human bio and neuro signals and development of educational biometric kits for young people.
It is expected in the future to create a platform for work and interaction between the young neuromodellers who will become a base for highly professional teams designing engineering solutions using neuro technologies. More than 10 million rubles have been invested in the project. In May 2016, Timur Bergaliev, founder of Bitronics Lab and his team entered into the cooperation agreement with LEGO Education. Young innovators expect that within the nearest two years, minimum 50 scientific circles in Russia will train in innovation technology in the field of neuronet with the help of BitronicsLab kits.
«BAS Educational kit» was included in the AeroNet roadmap of the National Technology initiative. The project developers are the team of Copter Express start-up, they participated in the first GenerationS enrolment in 2013 with the solution related to cargo delivery with unmanned aircrafts. Copter Express develops in one more direction — training of young people in assembly, programming and operation of quadcopters. Using the Copter Express kits, the team expects to train, by 2020, approximately 20 thousand scholars in work with unmanned aircraft systems.
«We sincerely congratulate both teams with being recognized and deserved promotion on the way of population of the science and technology industry among young people and creation of innovation ecosystem in our country. We are especially pleased that GenerationS graduates show good results. It means that we selected the correct course under the GenerationS accelerator. We wish teams good luck and hope that their projects will play an important role in development of the Russian technological industries,» — Gulnara Bikkulova, Deputy CEO of RVC and GenerationS ideologist, noticed success of the teams.
GenerationS
GenerationS — the largest start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, the federal corporate platform for the development of acceleration tools. It has been held by RVC since 2013. More than 20 Russian companies, in whose interests the selection and acceleration of start-ups is carried out, become Industrial partners of GenerationS on an annual basis. As a result of the multi-stage examination, the GenerationS participants receive ample opportunities for business development and investment promotion, and to get access to resources and infrastructure of accelerator partners. In 2016 alone, 4,237 applications from 30 countries were submitted to participate in GenerationS. GenerationS-2016 prize fund will be 15 million rubles., the total value of prizes from partners will exceed 100 million rubles.
