13 best start-up teams in the field of power and energy will get the opportunity to launch joint projects with the corporate customers In Moscow, the Power&Energy corporate accelerator, arranged by the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe start-up accelerator GenerationS by RVC, has begun.
From 306 teams that submitted applications for participation in the track, based on the results of the examination held within the framework of Bootcamp, 13 best projects in the field of "smart" power and energy were selected. During the following months, the finalists will pass through the intensive training program held on the base of the track industrial partners - Irkutsk Power Grid Company OJSC and EuroSibEnergo JSC.
The first onsite part of the Power&Еnergy corporate accelerator was held in Moscow on November 22-23, 2016. Alexander Mitreikin, Deputy Director of the Department of state energy policy of the Ministry power and energy of the Russian Federation spoke at the opening ceremony of the accelerator, he told of measures of state support of the innovation projects and of key development tendencies in power and energy in the Russian Federation. Great interest of the audience was drawn by the welcome speech and lecture by the track mentor from the GenerationS supervisory board, Managing Director - Director for interaction with the USA and Canadian companies of ROSNANO OJSC, President of the RUSNANO USA fund, Dmitriy Akhanov, who called the projects not to isolate themselves on the Russian market and think globally considering global development tendencies of the industry development.
The most important part of the event was communication of the corporate accelerator participants with the representatives of the industrial partners - Irkutsk Power Grid Company OJSC and EuroSibEnergo JSC. As a part of Elevator pitch (60-second presentations), the selected projects were presented to the industry experts and the head of the Department of science and technology activity of EuroSibEnergo JSC Anna Korotchenkova. Corporate accelerator participants received feedback and recommendations for development and packing of the projects.
Acceleration program plan was presented by the deputy head of the department of entrepreneurship and consumer market development of the economy committee at administration of Irkutsk, Viktor Lantsov.
The second day of the accelerator was devoted to communication of the project teams with the representatives of venture funds and EnergyNet task force of the National Technology Initiative and individual work with mentors.
Further corporate accelerator program is meant for two months of intensified work on the projects and includes series of the seminars and workshop sessions of the leading experts in the power and energy industry, visits to the production facilities of the industrial partner, meetings with the successful industry entrepreneurs and investors, work with the mentors of the track operator and industrial partners, individual consultations and practical activities.
Demo day of the corporate accelerator will be held on January 24, 2017. Three best projects will share the money prize. The Prize fund for the winners of the Power&Energy track will be 1 million rubles. Irkutsk projects participating in acceleration will also have an opportunity to participate in the support program for small and medium business arranged by the city administration.
In March 2017, GenerationS super-final will take place, within which framework the winner teams will apply for the GenerationS-2016 prize fund of 15 million roubles, and total value of the prises provided by the partners will exceed 100 million rubles.
