RVC will hold a series of Technothons within the framework of GenerationS Preaccelerator.
In December 2016 and January 2017, RVC with participation of the industrial partners will hold a series of events - Technothons aimed at development of entrepreneurship and cooperation between the large corporations and young start-ups.
Technothon format is developed by RVC analogous to the popular in IT hackathons and is held within the framework of GenerationS Preaccelerator. The difference of RVC Technothon is orientation to the objectives of the GenerationS corporate accelerators related to real manufacturing, taking into account of their peculiarities and requirements.
The nearest technothons SmartCity and Creative Industries will be devoted to development in the field of smart technologies for life in the city, as well as ideas and solutions in the field of media products and new methods of work with mediacontent. GenerationS partner sets production tasks within the framework of each Technothon and participants present the ideas and form teams. Each team provides a solution and presents it at the pitch-session to the industrial partner and market experts. Following the results of Technothon, the participants develop a solution that will allow them to discover different behavioural scenarios, events and algorithms addressing partner's interests.
20 new teams will be formed at every Technothon arranged as a part of the Preaccelerator, they will create solutions for the requests made by the SmartCity and Creative Industries track partners of GenerationS. During the Technothon, representatives of the corporations will be able to observe work of the novice entrepreneurs and share their expert's opinion with the teams.

About GenerationS
GenerationS is the largest accelerator of technology projects in Russia and Eastern Europe and the first federal platform for creating and developing corporate acceleration toolwork. It has been held by RVC since 2013.
In 2016, GenerationS received more than 4,000 applications from 240 cities and 30 countries. The accelerator was held in eight corporate tracks: Mining&Metals, AgroBioTech&Food, SmartCity, Сreative Industries, LifeScience, TechNet, Power&Еnergy, Finance&Banking Technologies. GenerationS-2016 prize fund was 15 million rubles, total value of the prizes provided by the partners exceeded 100 million rubles.
ABOUT RVC
RVC is a governmental fund of funds, the Institute of Development of the Russian Federation. The main objectives of RVC: stimulating the creation of Russia's venture capital industry and execution of functions of the Project Office of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).
The authorized capital of RVC is more than 30 billion rubles. One hundred per cent of the RVC capital belongs to the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Agency for Management of State Property of the Russian Federation (Federal Property Management Agency).
