The GenetationS accelerator has defined the most promising teams in the field of advertising, design and retail. The three winners divided the prize pool of 1 million rubles. Two more teams received 2 million ruble grants from the Innovation Support Fund.
The winner was the Moscow — based "BOFT" team led by Tos Movsisyan with the technology of instant photo printing. The top — five also included the InstaGuide start — up team from St. Petersburg with a guide selection service for travel — planning and developers of the Elbrus spare parts exchange from Yessentuki.
"The Creative Industries track has amassed a variety of start — ups of different disciplines: from service mobile applications to b2b — projects for advertising industry. A number of entrepreneurs during the program found partners to implement their decisions. The educational base and the contacts forged with investors and business representatives during the accelerator allow every team to bring their project to a new level of development, " — commented Gulnara Bikkulova, Deputy General Director of the RVC and the ideologist of GenerationS.
Working with the track partner Publicis Communications Russia has already allowed some teams to rethink the concepts of their projects and choose new niches for business development. At the end of the accelerated program Publicis Communications Russia began developing joint projects with startups Local Guide, Vidi Guide, Tagvisor, CreaBank and On The Wave.
"As part of the track, we chanced to see how and by whom the market — changing products and solutions are being created. We managed to contribute to their formation and influence on the result. I am grateful to the projects for the work involved, "— noted in his speech Dragorad Knezi, Disruption Evangelist Publicis Communications .
The final work day of the accelerator identified the winners of the StartGenS competition within the "Start" program of the Fund for the Promotion of Innovation. The grants of 2 million rubles came to two members of Creative Industries: The InstaGuide project and the mobile event platform of the ultra — precise content delivery ExpoGuide.
"Creative Industries is an unusual direction in terms of the Innovation Support Fund, and not all projects formally fit the requirements of the Fund. But here every team has the opportunity to pump their competencies and their project, get important feedback and pique the interest of industrial partners. This is really a competitive advantage over those who did not get into the GenerationS accelerator, "— said Anton Bobrinev, head of the external communications department at the Innovation Promotion Foundation.
Those willing to take part in the creative track of the GenerationS submitted more than 600 applications, of which experts selected the 18 best teams from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Ufa, Essentuki and other cities. In particular, five start — ups were selected by the track's partner, the Publicis Communications Russia group.
The final of the GenerationS accelerator will be held in April 2017 in Moscow. The winners will share the prize fund of 15 million RUB as well as prizes from partners worth over 100 million rubles.
