NMGK Group becomes partner of the Agro & MedTech track of GenerationS-2017

NMGK Group, the leading Russian processor of food and fat-and-oil products, has become a partner of Agro & MedTech track of GenerationS, the largest startups accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe run by RVC. The partner is interested in developments relating to raw materials processing, creation of "new foodstuffs" and cosmetics, technologies for efficient crop farming and animal breeding.

Projects selected to participate in the acceleration program will have the opportunity to refine their product and test the business model in close cooperation with the representatives of the track partner who will act as a potential customer of the product. “Food market is a new area for GenerationS. Now that NMGK Group has joined the Agro&MedTech track, startups will get access to recognized experts and experience of working with the industry leader. We expect that our cooperation will result in increasing competitive advantages of the partner through innovative development,” emphasized Mikhail Antonov, Deputy CEO and Director for Innovative Infrastructure Development at RVC JSC.

"NMGK considers innovation as a strategic advantage of the company. The purpose of cooperation with GenerationS is to enhance our expertise, search for and integrate new technologies related to all aspects of our business. For projects within Agro&MedTech track, this is an opportunity to cooperate with high-tech world-class R&D, get direct access to federal retail chains, test their idea in a federal-scale business, become familiar with the holding's expertise in marketing, sales and go-to-market models as well as in management”, said Maxim Orlov, Deputy Development Director at NMGK Group.

Agro&MedTech track is one of the six major areas of GenerationS-2017. It will bring together start-ups from the fields of agriculture, food production and medicine. In addition to the acceleration of projects for the benefit of NMGK Group, suitable solutions will be searched for the FoodNet, NeuroNet and HealthNet tracks of the National Technological Initiative (NTI). Startup projects will be reviewed by working groups and can be selected for incorporation in NTI road maps.

Other areas developed by GenerationS-2017 in the new season include new media, fashion, design and entertainment (Creative); power engineering (Power & Energy); banking and financial services (FinTech); metals processing, mining machinery and raw material quality management (Mining & Metals); smart production and systems implementation (TechNet); civil technologies with prospects for the production of weapons, military and special equipment (Dual Technologies).
