UEC extends cooperation with start-ups in the field of technology
Corporation acts as an industrial partner of the TechNet GenerationS track.
The principal designer of United Engine Corporation (UEC) Yuriy Shmotin represented main directions of interaction between the holding and small innovation companies, universities and start-ups.
A report delivered by the principal designer was part at the meeting between the project developers in the field of advanced production technologies with the representatives of TechNet track team of the largest start-up accelerator GenerationS as well as industrial track partner — enterprise "UEC — Saturn" PJSC in Rybinsk.
We are ready to meet the needs of the innovation development. One of such steps is meeting with the young innovators at the venue of the largest start-up accelerator in Russia — GenerationS. We are planning to visit the industry-specific Russian universities and sign corresponding contracts with them for cooperation on this subject", said Yuriy Shmotin.
The principal designer also pointed to the main directions for technological development of UEC, in particular, additive technologies that will make it possible to apply a new approach to form creation, reduce number of parts and engine costs as well as composite materials that will qualitatively change design of engines in a quality manner. Among the key corporation development directions were highlighted the "more electric" engines and super computer technologies that help achieve a new standard of analytical design.
Students from the different city universities participated in the meeting in Samara, several teams presented their projects in the field of production technologies. Director for innovation development of UEC-Saturn Dmitry Ivanov delivered a lecture before the pitch session under the name "Smart factory, from idea to creation". Representative of the TechNet track team Oleg Malsagov held a master-class "They want, but not always can: a problem of integration of innovations at the industrial enterprises. Who is right? Who is wrong?" Speakers presented to the participants main directions of the TechNet track and acceleration program stages.
Developers of the best solutions in the field of advanced production technologies such as additive technologies, industrial internet, sensorics, robotics and CNC technologies were invited to participate in the TechNet corporate accelerator of GenerationS. Based on subsequent selection and acceleration program, the best projects will be able to get support within the framework of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), test and put their development in production, be included in the NTI TechNet project register and compete for the track prize fund.
TechNet track has an aim to search for the best solutions in the field of advanced production technologies. GenerationS TechNet has been carried out since 2016 in cooperation with the industrial partner UEC — Saturn. RT-Business development is an investment track partner.
