270 start-ups of seed stage will pass through GenerationS Pre-accelerator

RVC announced start of Pre-accelerator - federal program of pre-seed and seed stage technology start-ups development. Pre-accelerator for the first time will be held in regional format, on-site sessions will be organized in Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Moscow, Rostov-on-don, Samara, Saint-Petersburg and Tomsk.

GenerationS-2017 received 3470 applications, approx. than half of which came from early-stage start-ups, which is 1708 applications. Based on the result of competitive selection, 270 project teams became participants of the Pre-accelerator educational program.

During three months, the participants will pass through the educational course devoted to the key themes of technology entrepreneurship; learn basics of finance and team management. Then, in individual work with the mentors, the teams should make adjustments to their projects and master skills of public speeches. The next Pre-accelerator stage is Demo Day where the jury will select two best projects in each region.

14 Pre-accelerator graduate projects will participate in the special pitch session at the federal final of GenerationS-2017 in Moscow where they will represent their developments to the GenerationS investors and partners. The Pre-accelerator winner teams will get an opportunity to participate in GenerationS-2018 corporate tracks without additional expertise.

"Developing the Pre-accelerator program, we set the aim to inform every participant that a start-up is not only the technology but also competency to offer the promising commercial product to the market. Due to regional scaling of the program, the beginner entrepreneurs will receive support of the best experts and will be able to adjust their developments to the local markets" Ekaterina Petrova head of GenerationS accelerator said.

Based on the results of GenerationS-2016, Pre-accelerator graduates became owners of the grants in the amount of 500 thousand rubles within the framework of "Umnik" program organized by the Foundation for support of innovation, GenerationS grant-partner. During this year program, the participants will also get recommendations on how to fill in an application for grant.
