Gazprom Neft seeks innovations in GenerationS

Gazprom Neft has become a partner to Power & Energy, a track of the RVC-organized federal start-up accelerator GenerationS. The cooperation strives to seek and find innovative solutions to create a single platform for corporate logistics, processing and marketing.

GenerationS has been held by RVC since 2013. This year Gazprom Neft has become a partner to Power & Energy track, which involves energy and oil & gas start-up teams. In 2017, as many as 511 applications were submitted to Power & Energy track by technology entrepreneurs. Following distance selection, 18 projects from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Veliky Novgorod, Astrakhan, Tyumen, Voronezh, Samara, Khanty-Mansiysk and Brest were invited to the accelerator’s program.

"Gazprom Neft's interest in building a systemic cooperation with open innovations will become a powerful impetus for the development of technology entrepreneurship in fuel and energy sector. The companies participating in GenerationS will be able to showcase their developments directly to the customer and adapt them for integration into the IT systems of the leading player in oil production and processing," comments Ekaterina Petrova, Head of GenerationS.

The accelerator’s best projects will be given an opportunity to let their innovative products test on the premises of Gazprom Neft’s Center for Digital Innovations. The Center is tasked with creating most advanced and breakthrough new generation digital products (platform-based IT solutions). The most important part of this process will be the development of innovations in predictive control, digital twins, industrial Internet of Things, modern data transmission lines, self-learning artificial intelligence systems, etc. While searching for better technologies, the Center plans to closely interact with all participants of the innovation ecosystem and cooperation with RVC is the first step towards working with open innovations.

ABOUT GENERATIONS

GenerationS - the largest start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, the federal platform for the development of corporate acceleration tools. It has been held by RVC since 2013. More than 20 Russian and international corporations, in whose interests the selection and acceleration of startups is carried out, become every year Industrial partners of GenerationS. As a result of the multi-stage examination, the GenerationS participants receive ample opportunities for business development and investment promotion and get access to resources and infrastructure of accelerator partners. In 2017, 3470 applications from 13 countries were submitted for participation in GenerationS. The prize fund of the GenerationS final in 2018 will amount to RUB 16 million.
