Vienna Business Agency to award a special prize to the best GenerationS project

The Vienna Business Agency holds a special competition for the GenerationS finalists. Vienna Business Agency is going to select among them the best project and offer its team the opportunity to undergo a 2-month internship in Austria with a total cost of EUR 10,000.

The competition is held to support bilateral initiatives and cooperation between RVC and the Vienna Business Agency. The startup selected at the GenerationS final will be among the top 20 startups from around the world to travel to Vienna where they will visit Austria's largest manufacturing facilities, attend specialized coaching sessions and deliver pitches before representatives of international corporations and investors.

"In recent years, Vienna has awoken from its sleeping-beauty slumber and evolved into a city with a dynamic, international and innovative ecosystem. Technology companies and start-ups, especially in the ICT field, media and biotech, are hunting for different sources of private and public funding. Besides, a highly qualified labor market provides companies with quality workforce. Vienna welcomes foreign start-ups and their founders. To this end, a new start-up visa for foreign companies was introduced in October 2017. This visa allows the start-up leaders and their teammates to implement their ideas and stay in Vienna for two years with the right of extension. We hope to find like-minded people and partners for further cooperation at the GenerationS final," said Nikolai Rodimov, a regional manager of the Vienna Business Agency.

The final of the largest start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe will be held by RVC on April 27 in Moscow in Tesla Place, a multimedia platform for events. 7 best projects in the field of energy, metallurgy, fashion and media, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, financial technologies and dual-use technologies will present their projects to experts during the final pitches. Three winners will share a prize fund worth 16 million rubles and obtain the right to conclude long-term contracts with partners.

ABOUT GENERATIONS

GenerationS - the largest start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, the federal platform for the development of corporate acceleration tools. It has been held by RVC since 2013. More than 20 Russian and international corporations, in whose interests the selection and acceleration of startups is carried out, become every year Industrial partners of GenerationS.
