Selection of start-ups for GenerationS-2017 final is completed in Tomsk

The Boiling Point platform, located in Tomsk, hosted the Demo Day of GenerationS Preaccelerator, the federal program to prepare early-stage start-ups. The winners will present their projects to investors on April 27 in Moscow, at the final of GenerationS, the largest accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe.

The GenerationS Preaccelerator program, which took place in Tomsk, featured 14 teams from Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude and Krasnodar. After a seven-day educational intensive workshop, the participants presented their projects to the jury members as part of the pitch session.

Two projects became winners of the Preaccelerator: “Technology to assess severity of diseases and digital personalization of a patient’s health developed by Vladimir Nekrasov’s team and Sergei Aksenov and a mobile diagnostic-therapeutic suite developed by Vitaliy Kostylev’s team. The participants will submit their projects to experts and investors in Moscow, at the federal final of GenerationS.

"The program has made me reconsider myself, my team, our project and our capabilities. It became clear that innovation business does not have any one-size-fits-all formula- everyone should be able to create on his/her own, read, think and listen!" says Vladimir Nekrasov, manager of the project “Assessment of disease severity and digital personalization of patients’ health."

"Projects are interesting and well-prepared. I am sure that having completed such a serious and eventful program, they changed only for the better," said Valery Koshelev, speaker at the face-to-face program.

The GenerationS Preaccelerator is held this year for the first time in a regional format. Among the finalists of GenerationS-2017 will be 2 best projects from each regional program. The teams from Samara, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Tomsk have already been selected for the finals, the best companies from Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don and Moscow will also be known in the upcoming weeks.
