GenerationS, a corporate innovations development platform, presented an analytical report on middle managers, their place in innovation activities of companies and the role they play in improving business processes. The document is based on the analysis of expert materials on the topic on the Russian and international markets, partner’s cases and GenerationS own expertise. This is the fourth public report of GenerationS, summarizing the experience of Russian and international partners of the platform. The experts who took part in its preparation answered the question of why and how this category of employees, which in most cases is not given much attention, can influence the work of a company and change it for the better.
As GenerationS experts noted, the need for such a study was felt by large companies and especially HR specialists who are looking for growth points for business and promising areas for working with employees. The results of the study showed that medium-sized management can become the main resource for generating and implementing innovations, offering new ideas and approaches, as well as working effectively with startups.
