The participants of the Russian Railways Accelerator with the support of GenerationS presented their projects at the Demo Day

On December 21, the final event of the Russian Railways Accelerator was held, the purpose of which was to select the best projects in the field of logistics for the existing needs of the Russian Railways Holding. This is the second program that the leader of the transport industry is implementing together with the corporate innovations development platform GenerationS.

The finalists of the Russian Railways acceleration program presented their solutions at the Demo Day to the management of the Russian Railways Holding, the official partners of the accelerator, including Gazpromtrans LLC, TransContainer PJSC, Fesco, DPD, First Expedition Company LLC, Novotrans Group of Companies, REILGO LLC, Severstal JSC, Kirovsky Zavod, St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Moscow Seed Fund and others. The most investment-attractive project of the ARIPIX accelerator received a grant from the Moscow Seed Fund for further development and investment attraction. Startup projects “MELTOR”, “Dot-Dot”, “NVI Solutions” were awarded in special nominations from partners - PJSC “TransContainer”, LLC “Gazpromtrans” and Fesco.

The Demo Day was attended by the representatives of 15 teams that were pre-selected in September 2021 and, as part of the acceleration stage, finalized their solutions together with the business lines of JSC “Russian Railways” and the program’s official partners. The completed acceleration program of JSC “Russian Railways” is the second joint project of the Russian Railways Accelerator and GenerationS, which together with the RVC Management Company is part of the RDIF.

This year, logistics has become the key focus of the accelerator: transport, information, warehouse and service. The program started on July 15, in total more than 500 applications were submitted for participation, 150 projects passed a detailed examination.

Russian and foreign startups from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Germany, Israel, Great Britain, Kenya, Pakistan, Turkey, Canada, Thailand, USA, Estonia took part in the selection. Among the Russian cities, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk and Yekaterinburg became the leaders in the number of applications. Work will continue with the finalists of the program, determined by the results of the Demo Day: startup projects will conduct pilot tests of their solutions based on the infrastructure of JSC “Russian Railways” and JSC “VNIIZHT”. Upon successful completion of the tests and approval of the technical aspects of the implementation, startups will have the opportunity to start scaling their solutions on the Russian Railways railway network.
