BioMicroGel has received a grant of 5 million rubles from Skolkovo Foundation
BioMiсroGel RPO, GenerationS-finalist in 2014, has won a special prize from Skolkovo Fund in the competition of innovative projects "Technostart."
The team has won the right to apply for a grant of 5 million rubles with no co-financing prerequisite. After passing through the necessary procedures, the money has been transferred to the company.
"We'll invest the received grant of 5 million in preparing documentation for production, certification, and intellectual property protection in Europe, China, India, the United States, and Canada. It is 80% of our market," said Artyom Sotnikov, the company spokesman.
BioMicroGel RPO is developing products to purify water from oil, petroleum products, and heavy metal ions. BioMicroGel technologies make it possible to remove film of lubricants, oil, diesel fuel, and other hydrocarbons from the surface of water and contribute to natural restoration of the environment. The company was a finalist for the accelerator GenerationS in 2013 and 2014.
