RVC Delegation and GenerationS Finalists Attended a STEP Conference in Dubai
STEP Conference is the most high-profile event in the technology sector in the Middle East. This year's conference was attended by RVC representatives and two finalist projects of GenerationS-2014.
Representatives of our start-ups have made successful presentations in pitch sessions at the conference. Promobot and ExoAtlet were the only projects in the field of robotics presented at STEP, so the both projects have received much attention.
Alexey Yuzhakov, CEO of Promobot, has managed to start negotiations on cooperation with Dubai Internet City (DIC), Tech Stars accelerator, and Dubai Silicon Oasis Athority Technology Park. The latter has offered the company to rent space in the technology park on favourable terms. Alexey also reached an agreement on supply of 20 robots to one of the partners.
RVC Delegation, in turn, has held negotiations with local organizations - Agency for Economic Development of Dubai, Tech Stars, and DIC. They spoke of cooperation in GenerationS. In particular, the accelerator winners may have an opportunity to start representative offices in Dubai and use industrial parks of Tecom group on preferential terms.
In addition, the acceleration program GenerationS has brought attention of some UAE companies and entrepreneurs. Now they are considering sending their representatives to participate in the accelerator competition.
