Smartwiz LLC, GenerationS alumni, won the competition of a EU railway operator at the end of 2021

Smartwiz LLC, an alumni of GenerationS accelerator, which the platform held together with GTLK (the largest transport leasing company in Russia), won the competition of a EU railway operator at the end of 2021.

The SATO cloud platform, designed to control a locomotive in automatic mode or display recommendations to the driver on energy-optimal control, during the competitive selection demonstrated fuel savings of more than 16%, which turned out to be significantly better among competing solutions, including solutions from recognized leaders in the Western market.

The fuel savings of 16% will allow the EU railway operator to reduce fuel costs for each locomotive by more than 80 000 EUR annually.

As a result, SmartViz LLC became the only GenerationS alumni that has signed a contract with an international company, and is currently conducting full-scale testing of SATO in the main areas of the operator's operation in various seasonal conditions.

Successful completion of testing will allow the company not only to obtain a contract for the sale of licenses for the entire locomotive fleet of the operator, but also to enter the Western market. Thus, SATO will become the only Russian system in its class presented on the Western market.
